Model A Raspberry Pi now available in Europe

The good news today in the Raspberry Pi world is that the Model A board is now available in Europe.

The Model A board is a stripped down version of Model B, which comes with no Ethernet, a single USB and 256 MB RAM. Although this might not seem like a feature seeing as the B version has better spec, but the big win is that it uses 1/3 of the power of its younger sibling. This lower power draw will be massively beneficial to those with mobile applications of the Pi for reading sensors or controlling robots, that get their power from battery or solar power.

The UK made, Model A is cheaper too at $25/£25 and is available at all the usual sources.
